We are going to visit one of the most significant cities in Russian history. Pereslavl-Zalesskiy was one of the centers of ancient Russia, on its lake emperor, Peter the Great built his first fleet. The whole town is full of antique monasteries, churches, strongholds. Here is what we can see:

The most beautiful, clean and neat convent, which is called Svyato-Nikolskiy. It was found in the 14th century. An interesting fact: the first several years it was a monastery, where only male monks lived

The national Park "Plescheevo ozero" - incredible lake, which is even bugger, than the whole city. On that lake emperor Peter the Great had made his first boats, which in several decades became powerfull and victorious fleet

Nikitskiy monastery, which is located near the lake. It is very ancient - was found in 1010

Outside the city we can visit several museums. For example, Botik of Peter I - the one, which is related to first Russian fleet, or the musem of locomotives

We will see the church of 40 martyrs, which is being existed since the XVII century. This church is usually imaged in pictures and postcards with Pereslavl-Zalesskiy
